After uncovering fraud at a transportation client, the Porte Brown team provided interim accounting and advisory support, helping the client select the right personnel and software for its reporting needs.

When one construction company came to Porte Brown seeking assistance obtaining a line of credit, Porte Brown discovered that the company had been using the wrong accounting method and over-reported almost $500,000 in revenue. The Porte Brown team converted the company to the right accounting method, generated meaningful financial reports and helped it secure a line of credit and avoid bankruptcy.

Like many Porte Brown partners, Russell began his career as a staff accountant at the firm. Porte Brown’s entrepreneurial approach allows employees to follow their strengths, develop expertise and contribute to client success. Russell became a partner in 2004.
