Steve grew up in Harvard, Illinois and currently resides in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

Prior to Porte Brown's merger with Borhart Spellmeyer & Company, Steve was a partner at BSC. Steve is currently on the board of directors of a local publicly traded financial institution, and serves as audit committee chair for the company.
