Porte Brown Earns Number 2 Ranking in 2026 Best Places to Work in Illinois and Top Honors for Women and Gen Z

Best Places to Work in IL 2026

Porte Brown is pleased to announce the firm has been ranked #2 overall in the medium company category of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Illinois competition. In addition to its overall ranking, Porte Brown also earned the #1 Best Places for Women to Work and #1 Best Places for Gen Z to Work honors in the medium company category.

The rankings were announced on May 7 at the annual Best Places to Work in Illinois awards event hosted by Daily Herald Suburban Business in partnership with Workforce Research Group. Porte Brown was recognized among medium-sized employers with 100–499 U.S. employees, and the Daily Herald reported that the firm was ranked No. 1 for both Generation Z and women.

The Best Places to Work in Illinois competition is designed to identify and honor the state’s leading employers based on workplace excellence and employee experience. Rankings are determined through a two-part evaluation process consisting of employer questionnaires and anonymous employee surveys. According to the Daily Herald, winners are determined based 20% on employer questionnaires evaluating benefits, policies, and creative initiatives, and 80%on anonymous employee surveys measuring workplace satisfaction, trust in leadership, pay and benefits, engagement, and communication.

“These rankings are especially meaningful because they reflect the experiences and feedback of our staff,” said Joseph A. Gleba, CEO & Managing Partner. “To be named the No. 2 Best Place to Work in Illinois in our category, while also earning the top spot for women and Gen Z, is an incredible honor. These recognitions speak to the culture we continue to build at Porte Brown—one that values collaboration, professional growth, inclusion, and the contributions of every team member. We are proud of our staff for helping make Porte Brown a workplace where people feel supported, empowered, and inspired to succeed.”

Porte Brown was previously announced as one of the 2026 Best Places to Work in Illinois before final rankings were revealed. These newly announced honors further underscore the firm’s commitment to fostering a workplace culture that attracts, develops, and supports talented professionals across generations. Winning organizations will receive statewide recognition in a special June 2026 issue of Daily Herald Suburban Business.
