Important Update:

Beginning January 2026, Porte Brown is introducing our new online client document platform that provides us with a safe and simple way to request and deliver documents.

Here are some key features of our new platform that we believe you will find beneficial:

  1. **Easy and Secure**: Uploading your documents is a breeze with no login required! However, to ensure security, a verification step will be necessary for downloading any files.
  2. **Your Very Own Checklist**: Upon clicking the link, you will discover a personalized checklist of tax documents we need from you, based on last year's submissions.
  3. **Leave Comments**: Each checklist item has a comments section where you can provide additional information regarding that item or your overall tax situation.
  4. **Bookmark the Link**: As the year progresses, continue to use your unique link to access additional forms, invoices, IRS payment links, payment vouchers, and more, securely at any time.

You will receive an email from DocumentTeam@portebrown.com with a link in January 2026, to complete a short questionnaire and upload your documents. The questionnaire and document request list replaces the need for a paper organizer.

FOR CURRENT TAXCADDY USERS: Rest assured that you will still have access to any documents you've uploaded to your TaxCaddy account. However, effective immediately, Porte Brown will discontinue the use of TaxCaddy, and we will no longer have access to documents uploaded there. You will receive an automated email from TaxCaddy when the disconnection happens. There is no action required on your part at this time. We do have record of all documents you have uploaded through TaxCaddy prior to the disconnection. Please wait until receiving your email in January to begin sending us next tax season’s source documents.
