QuickBooks Corner: Mandatory Payroll Update

QuickBooks Desktop has released a mandatory payroll update. The change will update federal and state tax tables and forms to ensure that you are in compliance with the most recent laws and regulations.

How to Update Your Payroll Subscription

  1. Go to Employees > Get Payroll Updates > Update
  2. If your "Get Payroll Updates" screen says, "You are using tax table version 21702," then you already have the most up to date payroll.
  3. You can choose to automatically receive updates by going to Help > Update QuickBooks. Select the "Options" tab and select yes for "Automatic Update". Finally, select "Mark All" to receive all updates as they become available.

Once these steps are completed, you will have downloaded the newest update to the federal and state tax tables and forms within QuickBooks Desktop.
